FTCES 2025 Turkey Trot

We are excited to announce that our annual Turkey Trot, our biggest fundraising event of the year, is back! The season of giving is here, and we hope you can help make this year's event a success. The money raised from the Turkey Trot will help to fund various programs supporting FTCES students throughout the year. Your donations, no matter how small, will help us achieve this goal. We appreciate your generosity and support!

Students will have the opportunity to choose between two fundraising events during Thanksgiving week:

  • On Monday, November 24th, we will hold Turkey Trots in the gym.
    • Students will have 30 minutes to complete laps around the Turkey Trot course set up in the gym (2 laps = approximately .25 miles). Students are encouraged to complete as many laps as possible.
    • This year, we will only accept flat donations instead of pledges per lap. We hope this makes the donation process easier for everyone.
  • If your child chooses not to participate in the Turkey Trot, we also offer two alternative events:
    • Students in grades K – 8 can attend the “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown” viewing party in the auditorium with their grade level.
    • Students in grades K – 3 can play Thanksgiving-themed bingo with their grade level.
  • All donations from both events will go towards the FTCES Student Programs.
  • Any student who donates will be permitted to dress down on Monday, November 24th.
  • Reminder: on Monday, November 24th, Kindergarten students will be dismissed at 11:30 AM, and students in grades 1–8 will be dismissed at noon.

Please use the link https://forms.office.com/r/YA53YSF4AH to complete the form and choose which activity your child(ren) will be participating in on Monday, November 24, 2025. If you have multiple FTCES students, please fill out a separate form for each student. You can do this by clicking “Submit another response” after completing the first form.

Please be sure to send all donation money in an envelope labeled with your child’s first and last name and their HR number to your teacher by Monday, November 24th. Prizes will be awarded to both the classroom and the individual who raises the most money. Students are encouraged to challenge each other to see who can complete the most laps in the class to earn points for their House Color. Remember, even a small contribution can make a big difference. Thank you for your support!

Sincerely,

Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School
