About Us
Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School proudly opened its doors in 2009. In 2008, our elementary charter was granted by the School Reform Commission, and a team of talented educators and community stakeholders quickly set to work designing the school we are all so proud to call home.
During our first two years of operation, we provided a world-class education to 300 students in grades 3, 4, and 5. In 2010, we welcomed an additional 100 students, expanding our offerings to include 3rd through 6th grade. Throughout these two years, we were constructing our permanent home in the heart of the Bridesburg community at 4259 Richmond Street. During this time, the Franklin Towne Administration and Board of Directors transformed an abandoned, dangerous lot into a state-of-the-art educational facility that serves over 900 students from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
Franklin Towne Charter Elementary School's mission is to establish a HAPPY and NURTURING environment that both promotes and cultivates a positive learning experience for our children. By involving staff, students, and parents, we aim to create a challenging and supportive school where our students can learn and grow. Through the hard work and dedication of our students, staff, parents, community partners, administration, and Board of Directors, FTCES has established itself as one of the premier educational facilities in the city.
